The University of Michigan football team will be wearing new uniforms and helmets for the Outback Bowl, against South Carolina on January 1, 2013. Senior Jordan Kovacs modeled a new road uniform with blue shoulders  maize numbers and blue trim. The team will also wear a matte-blue version of the traditional winged helmet.
